How to facilitate the knowledge transfer for the adoption and scaling up of integrated care: Try the SCIROCCO methodology for twinning and coaching

The SCIROCCO online self-assessment tool is being designed and tested as a key tool to facilitate the knowledge transfer and information sharing among the European regions and organisations. The SCIROCCO twinning and coaching processes are informed by:

  • the understanding of the maturity requirements of Good Practices for their adoption and transferability;
  • the findings on the readiness of national/regional healthcare systems to adopt a particular Good Practice and/or to improve a particular dimension and aspect of integrated care.

A comprehensive use case for SCIROCCO Twinning and Coaching has meanwhile (18 Dec 2018) been published in the EuroHealthNet magazine: Ageing, Edition #12: “How to transfer good practices in integrated care internationally: From self-assessment to knowledge transfer and improvement in care”.

Results/reports of SCIROCCO Twinning and Coaching: SCIROCCO partners have produced ‘Action Plans’ to create conditions for the adoption of integrated care in a learning or receiving region for the transferability of a given good practice from the transferring region, e.g. “Action Plan to create conditions for the adoption of integrated care in Norrbotten Region – Transferability of the Good Practice “Advanced Care Planning in an Integrated Care Organisation in the Basque Country”.
Seven Action Plans produced by the project are available for download:

1. Planning for the twinning and coaching informed by the maturity assessment of healthcare systems
